On December 9, 2024, a historic event took place in Panipat, Haryana, as PM Modi launched the highly anticipated LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, a ground-breaking initiative that empowers women to become successful LIC Agents while earning a salary and commission. Our team from Branch 12D set out on an exciting journey to witness the launch and be part of this empowering moment.Our Branch Incharge, Shri Subodh Kumar Sir, organized everything perfectly, ensuring that the trip was smooth, exciting, and full of fun. Along with 55 business partners (our amazing LIC agents, including Prayag Jain and Prem Kapoor), we were ready for the big day! But little did we know, this journey would be filled with unexpected twists and unforgettable moments.

Early Start at Branch 12D: The Adventure Begins!

The day started early at 7 AM. The sun was barely up, but the air was full of excitement as everyone gathered at Branch 12D. There was a buzz of energy in the air, and each of us was eagerly talking about the big event. But before we could hit the road, Subodh Sir made sure everything was in place, from coordinating the group to checking that everyone was ready.

🥐 Snack 1: A Delicious Start at the Branch
Before embarking on our journey, we were treated to some mouth-watering morning snacks at the branch. These weren’t just any snacks—they were a tasty mix of savoury and sweet items that had everyone smiling. We relished the snacks, chatted about the upcoming event, and shared a few laughs, making it a perfect start to what promised to be an exciting day ahead.

The Drama Begins: The Missing Bus Driver!

🚍 The real adventure kicked off when we boarded the bus, ready to set off. But as we were about to leave, a small hiccup occurred—the bus driver went missing! 😱 Everyone was a bit confused, and for a moment, the excitement turned into a buzz of concern. But Subodh Sir remained calm and composed.

He quickly handled the situation, and soon after, the tour operator provided a new bus driver to take us on our way. With Subodh Sir’s leadership, everyone felt assured that this small problem wouldn’t spoil the fun. The mood was lifted, and the group was once again ready to hit the road!

Snack 2: Heera Sweets Delights!

As we cruised along the highway, another surprise arrived. A packet of snacks from Heera Sweets, one of Delhi’s most famous and reputable sweet shops, was passed around! From crispy samosas to delicious sweets, this snack break was just what we needed to keep the energy high. It was the perfect way to enjoy the road trip, and the treats were absolutely delicious! 🍪🍬

Shiva Dhaba: The Thrill Continues!

Our first stop was Shiva Dhaba in Murthal, located along the GT Road (NH1) in Haryana. This legendary roadside restaurant is famous among travelers, and today, it was packed with buses from LIC Branches all over. There were at least 8-10 LIC buses parked outside, with agents from different branches like 11D, 12D, and many more. As we arrived, it was a sight to behold—LIC everywhere! 🚍🚍

The dhaba, named after Lord Shiva, added a perfect touch of excitement to the journey. As we stepped out for a quick break, we noticed the incredible sight of LIC agents from different branches chatting and sharing stories, all united by the Bima Sakhi Yojana launch.

The Road to Panipat: Anticipation Builds

By 9:15 AM, we were back on the road, heading towards Panipat, where the momentous event was about to unfold. With Subodh Sir leading the way, the journey felt smooth and organized, despite the earlier mishap. Our spirits remained high, and everyone was filled with excitement about the upcoming PM Modi’s speech and the launch of the Bima Sakhi Yojana.

As the Bima Sakhi Yojana program was just around the corner, the thrill and anticipation built with every passing kilometer. Each one of us knew that this was a historic moment, one that would change the lives of many women in India.
